Hepatitis A Vaccine A series of two shots protects against Hepatitis A. The second shot is received between six and 12 months after the first. The combined protection of the primary dose plus booster dose is estimated to protect for 10 years.
Hepatitis B Vaccine A series of three shots to protect against Hepatitis B. The second shot is received one month after the first and the third shot is received five months after the second. The immunization may last for life. The Hepatitis B Surface Antibody (that checks for immunity) is recommended after 10 years.
MMR (German Measles) One shot that promotes immunity to measles (rubeola), mumps (parotitis) and German measles (rubella) virus by inducing production of antibodies.
Tetanus Booster (Td) One shot every 10 years. This immunization protects against tetanus and diphtheria. Community Health Services will not provide this immunization to clients who have been injured.
Pneumonia Shots Shots recommended for individuals over 65 or those at risk due to chronic illness. This is a one-time shot unless it has been five years and the first one was given before turning age 65.
Flu Shots Flu shots are given during the fall starting in September. Shots are given at our clinic or you can make arrangements for a "shot clinic" at your company, organization or church.
